Antonio Conte has instructed Chelsea’s recruitment team to make Alexis Sanchez their No 1 transfer target this summer, according to the Guardian, with the Chilean dazzling on Tuesday night for La Roja in their 3-1 win over Venezuela.
A sublime free kick maintained a quite remarkable season for the former Barcelona man for both club and country, and the Blues are now growing in confidence that they can lure the 28-year-old across the capital.
Metro agrees with the Guardian‘s report, adding that Chelsea are preparing for interest in Diego Costa when the transfer window opens, with the striker likely to leave Stamford Bridge to help replenish Chelsea’s transfer war chest.

The Mirror, meanwhile, says that Sanchez’s exit from Arsenal now looks inevitable, with the Gunners ready to start the bidding for their best player at £50-million.
Chelsea to offer Hazard a fortune to fend off Real
While the Blues are busy monitoring Sanchez, Conte will see maintaining Eden Hazard as equally important, and the Sun believes they will make the Belgian the Premier League’s highest-paid player in order to head off interest from Real Madrid.
The Express reports that the Champions League holders are ready to pay £100m for the 26-year-old, but Hazard appears content with life in London and will meet with the Chelsea brass this summer to discuss a potential £300,000-per-week contract extension.

That bumper pay rise which would top the £290,000-a-week deal that Manchester United gave Paul Pogba upon joining from Juventus last summer. Eye-watering stuff.

Tottenham duo hunted by Serie A giants
It seemed like a rash decision at the time, but Tottenham parted with £30m to sign Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle in 2016. After a tough start under Mauricio Pochettino, the Mirror reckons Juventus, AC Milan and Inter are looking to offer the France international a fresh start in Serie A.
The Italian trio also want Spurs midfielder Erik Lamela, who shone last season after initially struggling to justify his £30m fee following a move from Roma. Injuries have curtailed Lamela’s progress this term and the Nerazzurri, especially, feel they can prize him away from north London for just £10m.
Quite how much Spurs are willing to lose on Sissoko remains unclear, with the player keen to fight for a starting role beyond the summer despite lacking a clear path into Pochettino’s strongest XI.
United eye £40m move for Dier
Eric Dier has enjoyed a meteoric rise from life as a teenager in Portugal with Sporting to starring for Tottenham and England within the space of a few years.
Now, the Sun claims Manchester United are targeting the 23-year-old as the ideal successor to Michael Carrick.
A midfield anchor to provide Pogba with a platform to shine and influence games more appears to be a priority for Jose Mourinho and the Red Devils are prepared to pay £40m for the former Everton loanee.
With Carrick now 35 and Mourinho already ditching Louis van Gaal signing Morgan Schneiderlin, Dier could represent a crucial signing as the Portuguese puts the finishing touches on his squad this summer.
