Manchester United FC transfer rumours: Douglas Costa to snub Liverpool for Old Trafford? Antoine Griezmann deal may not be dead, Ivan Perisic deal latest, wonderkid woe

The summer is fast approaching at Old Trafford and the transfer wheels are starting to turn.

At least they are in the world of transfer rumours.

Jose Mourinho will be looking to take the Reds a step further.

United are being linked with a number of players on a daily basis, here are today's rumours.

Costa capture?

Liverpool 's bid to sign Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich could be scuppered by Manchester United .

The Anfield club are among the interested parties chasing the Brazil forward after he endured a disappointing season in Germany.

But Inter Milan have joined the race as they bid to replace Ivan Perisic who appears bound for Old Trafford.

Bayern are holding out for £40million according to Sky Italia but that would pose few problems for Inter if they indeed sell Perisic to Jose Mourinho's side.

The Croatian has reportedly told the Italian giants that he wants to move to United while other reports suggest he has already agreed a £100,000-a-week deal with the Europa League champions.

Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann has signed a new deal with Atletico Madrid - but has left the door open for a move to Manchester United .

The French striker has committed his future to the Spanish club by penning a new contract until 2022.

But although he has seen his salary increase to a huge £12.3million a season, Griezmann's release clause remains unchanged at £88m.

That means United would not have to fork out any more than they were prepared to pay this summer, should they decide to re-enter the race for the 26-year-old.

Perisic latest

Manchester United have agreed a contract to bring Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic to Old Trafford.
Perisic has negotiated a £100,000-a-week deal to join United, according to Corriere dello Sport via the Manchester Evening News.
Inter and United are yet to agree a transfer fee - with United not wanting to go above £35m and the Italians asked for £44m.
But Perisic is trying to push forward a move after telling new boss Luciano Spalletti he wants to leave this summer.
The Croatia international 11 goals at the San Siro last season as Inter struggled to a seventh placed finish.

Manchester United and Real Madrid set to miss out on AC Milan wonderkid Gianluigi Donnarumma

Manchester United and Real Madrid could be forced to switch their attentions elsewhere after AC Milan wonderkid Gianluigi Donnarumma stated he wants to stay with the Italian giants,

Donnarumma only has 12 months left on his current deal and has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford and the Bernabeu.

With uncertainty surrounding the future of David de Gea, Jose Mourinho is keen to strengthen his goalkeeping department.

Real Madrid are also looking to provide more competition for Keylor Navas as they continue to be linked with De Gea and are also monitoring the progress of Donnarumma at the San Siro.
