Real Madrid news: Morata due for Man Utd medical, Rodriguez verbal agreement, Asensio deal
REAL MADRID are bracing themselves for an active few days and Express Sport brings you the latest news from the Bernabeu.
United and Madrid have held positive talks over a deal for the Spain striker and he could be heading to Manchester, according to the Independent.
Morata is likely to become United’s second summer signing after Victor Lindelof.
United confirmed a deal for Lindelof was in place this weekend.
And Morata could be next.
And reports in Spain from Ok Diario claim United also have agreed a deal in principle to sign James Rodriguez.
The Colombia star is keen to join United and is said to have verbally agreed the deal to move to Old Trafford.
But there are certain contractual issues that are getting in the way with Rodriguez's marketing supplier Adidas wanting him to be handed the No 10 shirt.
United captain Wayne Rooney currently occupies the jersey, but should he depart this summer it will open the door for Rodriguez to sign.
Marco Asensio is set to renew his contract until 2023.
Marca claim he will be given a €350m release clause to ward off suitors and it will be official in the coming days.
The forward was impressive towards the end of the season as Zinedine Zidane's side secured the La Liga and Champions League titles.
