Private jet from Madrid lands in Manchester amid Alvaro Morata speculation
A private jet that left Madrid last night has landed in Manchester amid speculation surrounding a move to Old Trafford for Alvaro Morata.
The 24-year-old, who has informed Jose Mourinho of his desire to join Manchester United, flew back to Madrid from his honeymoon in Ibiza to help advance talks between the two clubs.
Madrid are reportedly holding out for a fee of around £75m before letting the Spaniard leave, rejecting the initial £65m sum put forward by Man United.
M.E.N has revealed that, in possible relation to the deal, a private jet from Madrid landed in Manchester last night.
The identity of who exactly was on this plane remains a mystery; it could very easily just be a Spanish millionaire keen to get away from it all in the capital, opting for a few days of Wetherspoons and the Curry Mile to unwind.
Then again, it would very well be a club representative flying over to Manchester as talks between the two clubs progress. None of this is certain, and we cannot say anything beyond mere speculation, but with Morata flying to Madrid to speed up talks and President Florentino Perez refusing to deny that advanced talks are underway, you sense that this transfer is moving in the right direction.
