Romelu Lukaku angers Man Utd bosses after interview on US TV
Lukaku has angered United officials after agreeing to give an interview to a leading media outlet in America.
United have still to confirm the worst kept secret in football after agreeing a fee with Everton for the Belgium striker.
But this didn't stop Lukaku from discussing his transfer with a journalist while he was holidaying in Los Angeles ahead of joining up with the United squad.
United wanted his first interview to be broadcast on the club's in-house TV station and website.
This is the procedure when United make new signings, but Lukaku has jumped the gun to leave his new employers feeling like they missed out.
Lukaku, meanwhile, has penned a farewell message to Toffees fans and insisted it was an honour to play for them at Goodison Park.
Lukaku said: "I want to say a big thank you to all the people involved at Everton.
"I want to thank the fans for your support throughout the four years we've spent together.
"You guys helped me through all my games and I can proudly say it was an honour to play in front of you.
"To the staff at the the stadium and training ground, thank you for making me feel at home from the first day I walked in.
"To my team-mates it was great to play with you guys. To technical staff thank you for helping me become a better player."
